EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Following the 2019-20 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on 7 March 2020, the below members have been elected as the ATF's 2020 Executive Committee. We would like to thank them for their continuing contributions and support.

There are still a number of open positions available on the Executive Committee. If you are interested in volunteering for one of the open positions, please contact info@thyroidfoundation.org.au As per the ATF Articles of Association, nominations can only be received from current financial members, who have held membership for one year prior to the date of the Executive Committee Elections which are held at the forthcoming AGM.

ATF Members who have been a current financial member for one year, can request to hold an Executive Committee positions that was not filled at the last AGM as a Casual Member, as per the ATF Articles of Association.

PLEASE NOTE: The ATF Executive Committee are responsible for the management and direction of the organisation. All Executive Committee positions are voluntary and held by ATF Members who wish to share their experience, skills and passion.

Newsletter Support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ATF Communications Manager to prepare ‘Thyroid News’.
  • Collect articles and information to be included in ‘Thyroid News’.
  • Organise advertising and updated information.
  • Meet deadlines and layout approvals with graphic designer.
  • Organise newsletter to be included in the Member’s Section of the ATF Website.
  • Prepare Reports and attend Executive Committee Meetings in person or by telephone/internet conference or email.

    Website Support

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Responsible for inclusion of updated and new information and email alerts to members.
    • Discuss and review new ideas and layout of website with website provider.
    • Prepare Reports and attend Executive Committee Meetings in person or by telephone/internet conference or email.

    Sponsorships & Grants Co-ordinator

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Provide opportunities and apply for sponsorship with potential companies/organisations/community organisations/government authorities.
    • Organise applications for government/commercial grants.
    • Attend sponsorship meetings when possible.
    • Prepare Reports and attend ATF Executive Committee Meetings in person or by telephone/internet conference or email.

    Telephone Support Liaison

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Communicate with Telephone Support Contacts and update information.
    • Liaise with Website Support and ‘Thyroid News’ Editor regarding Telephone Support Updates.
    • Encourage ATF Members to become a Telephone Support Contact.
    • Prepare Reports and attend Executive Committee Meetings in person or by telephone/internet conference or email.
