If you are experiencing either hypothyroid or hyperthyroid symptoms or physical changes to your thyroid gland, please visit your GP to discuss. Ask your GP to order Specific Thyroid Blood Tests and/or a Thyroid Ultrasound to either determine or eliminate a thyroid disorder. Your GP will also clinically examine you, with emphasis on the area of your neck where your thyroid gland is located to determine if your thyroid gland is enlarged or if any irregularity is detected. It is especially important to tell your GP if any of your family members have a Thyroid Autoimmune Disease, Thyroid Cancer or diagnosed with a form of Thyroid Disorder. Thyroid Disorders very often run in families and therefore should always be mentioned to your GP. The Correct Procedure When Having a Thyroid Blood Test
